Siding, windows & doors
Siding, windows and doors
We replace siding, trim, windows and exterior doors, and repair the rot that often hides behind them. Every opening is flashed so water runs off the house, not into the wall.

How the job runs
The order of work is what keeps a job calm. Each step depends on the one before it.
Look and measure
We check for soft spots, failing paint and water stains, and measure every opening.
Written estimate
Materials and colors named, with rot repair shown as an allowance.
Ordering
Windows and doors are usually made to order. We set the start date around delivery.
One section at a time
We work wall by wall, so the house is never left open overnight.
Flash and install
Wrap and flashing first, then windows, doors, siding and trim.
Finish and walkthrough
Caulk and paint where specified, clean-up, and a walk around the house with you.
Decisions you’ll make
We raise these early, explain the trade-offs and give you our honest view. The choice is yours.
Vinyl, fiber cement or wood?
Vinyl costs the least and never needs paint. Fiber cement is heavier, more durable and takes paint well. Wood looks traditional and needs the most upkeep.
Insert or full-frame windows?
Insert windows fit inside the old frame, with less disruption. Full-frame replacement goes back to the rough opening, so we can fix rot and flash it properly.
Which window material?
Vinyl, fiberglass and wood-clad windows differ in price, color choices and how they hold up in sun.
Door style and swing
Which way it opens, how much glass, and the threshold height all affect daily use.
Color and trim details
Siding color is hard to judge from a small chip. Look at a full board outside, in daylight.
All at once, or in phases?
Doing the whole house at once usually costs less overall. Phasing by side spreads the cost. We’ll price both if you ask.

Common questions
Can you replace just a few windows?
Yes. Replacing the worst windows first is common. We’ll check whether the frames and sills around them are sound.
What if you find rot?
We show you, explain how far it goes, and give you the repair price in writing before we do it.
Do you paint?
New trim and siding are primed and painted as part of the job where the material needs it. Whole-house repainting on its own is a different kind of job; ask and we’ll tell you whether we can help.
